Phoebe Says: Go to Bed

Estimated reading time: 1 minutes

Phoebe doesn’t like it when I stay up late.
She never yells or makes a scene — not at night.
She just shows up.

She climbs onto my chest, turns a few circles, and settles down like a warm little stone.
And if I keep typing or tapping or doing anything other than closing my eyes?
She moves lower and wedges herself between my arms.

It’s not subtle.
It’s not accidental.

She’ll stare at the screen with me, then slowly blink like, “You done yet?”
And eventually, I give in.

She sleeps like a person — curled up close, body relaxed, paws tucked just so.
If I shift, she adjusts.
If I stop typing, she sighs.

I don’t know if she wants me to sleep because she’s tired, or because she knows I am.
But either way, she always wins.

Note:
Some cats are loud.
Phoebe just… moves in closer.
And somehow, that works better.
